I am curious to know how many of us have their air conditioning working properly this spring. Now that the temperatures are rising, I bet that the seasonal posts with A/C problems and leaks will proliferate again. mad

Let us all check our A/C !

The AC accumulator (cylinder shaped thing) under the battery on the 95-96 and maybe the later models too has some insulator thing on it that traps condensation and makes it rust/leak.

The fix is to rip it off--the AC will cool just fine without it. The new ones come without the insulation, I think.

Yeah, I have a leak. Mechanic put dye in it though, so I have to take it back for them to check it next week.

and to think it should have been recharged when the dealership replaced my motor not too long ago.
it was ice cold before the motor swap!

Nice and cold. It's amusing seeing everybody with windows open on such hot days, and I'm in my nice COOL car.... laugh
