can you do that on grass with your contour?

my friend who has a some what modded out 2002 wrx (headers, full exhaust, BOV, turbo control some small things), well, he was on wet pavement tryin to do just that and when his car caught dry pavement the tires grabbed and torn his tranny apart. he lost 1st and 2nd gear and since he had so many mods, warrnety didn't cover it. he paid to get an STI clutch and tranny installed for 2200 bucks. oops. so todras, show me how you do donuts on pavement with awd please.

I guess I got ripped off...or he got ripped off...where did he find a "STI clutch and tranny" for $2200?

wrx dealer in madison.
i think he just got the tranny "rebuilt" and i know for sure he got the sti clutch. i also think they gave him a deal because his car was under warrenty, but since he had the mods, they wouldn't do it for "free". i can ask him if you want me to.

Yeah, that price sounds like a normanl WRX rebuild. STi gears start at $1300 and the clutch/flywheel starts at $1000. I forget for sure, but I believe labor at a Subaru dealer is typically about $900-1300.

i didnt make it. i did make some others you may have seen floating around the internet.

i got a program called "GIF Movie Gear" from downloads.com. basically you drop in still pictures and it plays them one after another, making it look animated. the images in the above gif were just stills captured off a video.

...then it's no longer AWD...

Give me a set of RE-92s and I'll show you AWD pavement donuts.
