I've got a Sandisk CompactFlash reader for the 256 meg card I have in my new camera. I have Win2KPro and when I hooked it up to my USB port, Windows automatically installed the drivers and recognizes it as a connected USB device. The problem is that the drive doesn't show up in My Computer or explorer.
I have no idea what else to do, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hey Tubs, I just lost my jengajam.

Are you connecting the camera or a flashcard reader? If you are connecting the camera, I dont believe it will show up as a drive. What will need to do is open up something like photoshop or PictureViewer and see if you can extract/import the files through a program like that.

Try this.... 1.) Unplug it from the USB port 2.) Go here and download the drivers 3.) Install & Reboot 4.) Plug it back into the USB port and see what happens this time.

I have a Nikon digi cam, and when i hook it up directly to the computer, it shows up as a removable drive.

That's the thing that's frustrating. It says it doesn't need an additional driver for Win2k . Grr, I just want it to work. Thanks anyway.

Ok, I figured it out. The drive still won't show up in My Computer, but I can type G: and it opens it up. I guess that's better than nothing

My Samsung did, and my Canon does the same thing.
