Hello all i need to know if i need to bleed my brakes. My brakes require quite a long throw to the grond to begin the braking process. i recently replaced the front pads. Are squishy braked a bleeding problem?

Yes, there is a how-to on the main part of the site. Look in the mods/how to section.

You may also have the retainer springs improperly installed. This has been a common problem for first time do it yourself brake pad replacement.

It is also possible (depending on just how soft the pedal seems) that you just need to finish bedding in the new pads to the rotors. Even when everything is done perfectly, the pedal will be a little softer with new pads until they have been used a few days.

i thought the same thing on the the springs but then i took off the other wheel (when i had only done one side) and it looked the same. i think they just need to be done. Will they be HARD after i bleed them or just a little more firm?

It should end up being quite firm. You may be able to make it firmer with stainless steel brake hoses if you really feel that you need that, but it is really unnecessary.
