My car's CEL comes on every 500 miles or so and when I get the codes checked it says "catalyst below efficieny (bank 1)" I got some emmisions booster and it made the light go away for a while but it came back. Anyone have any ideas? I think my catalytic converter might be going but the car doesn't even have 70K on it  Thanks in advance.

its either the o2 sensor is bad or the pre cat is bad,] if its the cat then your in luck cause they have a 80,000 mile warnty so give the dealer a call

There have been a number of threads with this exact condition over the last month. Either scroll back a couple of pages or perform a SEARCH looking for "P0420", P0430", or just look at the titles.
Everything you need has been discussed.

your in even better luck because if it is the pre cats you can just gut them and get mil eliminators and be done with it. well thats what i would do. even if it is the o2 you can do that

It says search has been disabled. Thanks for the help everyone.
