OP Auto1 Newbie A Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 4	Has anyone experienced any cracking or checking in the paint of their car. I have a 1999 Black SVT. I am trying to find out if their is concictency in the problem. So I can have more information as I complain to Ford About my Black Checkered paint job.

Stolon #05 Hard-core CEG'er S Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 1,840 Ok City, OK	darker colored paints that ford uses are prone to checking and cracking, especially the black. I believe it is because they lay on the paint too thick at the factory.
