Anyone going?

I'm probably going Friday. I have a couple seats open in the Suburban I believe. All I ask is a few dollars for gas and parking. In flight movie will be either X2, Lock Stock and 2 Smoking barrels, or Fight Club.

Otherwise I'll be meeting some people at 2 PM at the Ducati area. (But I'm no traitor!)

I'll be wearing my yellow pants. Yes I'm straight.

I would say more like Just-Ripened-Banana Yellow. Not really NEON yellow.

Maybe like Ducati Yellow.

Not the YELLOW pants again?

I do like the "Ducati yellow" description though.

Are you making them a bike show tradition??

Change in wardrobe planning and scheduling.

I'll be wearing Deep Charcoal Grey Pants with and American Seafoods T-Shirt and possibly my Long John Silvers hat.

And I'm going tomorrow morning.

Just got back.
I waited in line for an hour and 45 minutes to see the occ cre and bikes. I am actually glad i did. It was awesome to see the bikes in person. I met Vinnie and Cody along with the 2 new fab guys. I have lots of pictures i will share later. If i hadnt waited in line for so long i would have been in and out in 45 minutes. wasnt to much interesting. most of the stuff i could walk into a dealer and see.

Took me about 90 minutes and 20 of that was having a hot dog and soda and talking listening to people and trying not to laugh at the ridiculous $hit that came out of their mouths.

But otherwise, a let down... Kinda like last year. I thought maybe I'd see more concept bikes or exotic bikes. Unless I missed it earlier in the weekend, I didn't see anything like the FP1, RC211V, RS3 or even the Benelli (which I'm not all excited about anyway).

Seems like the 999R was and the Duhamel RC51 was as exotic as it got for me. Wish the Aprilia Nera was there although I do dig the new Mille. Yeah the new Jap 1000s are nice, but whatever

'F OCC... $25 for a fu(kin T-Shirt? I'd rather sit and watch "Stuntin" videos... Which I did.

I know I don't post really anything in this forum (well, not much really at all on the board), but the thread caught my eye and I had to respond.

I was there, and it was one of the worst automotive shows I have ever been to. Last year wasn't so bad really. I have pictures of the Orange County crew and their bikes, as well as Indian Larry and his stuff. I double-checked to make sure I wasn't dreaming, and last year there was very little crowd around both displays. It looked about equal to some of the 'unknown' names this year, but the bikes were still just as good. Amazing what influence TV has on America.

I don't think I have a large enough brain to have counted how much OCC apparel I saw this year. Last year it was nothing but West Coast Choppers stuff, but I guess people saw Discovery Channel and had a reason to buy OCC shirts and wait 2 hours to barely meet the staff and kiss up with their Orange County gear. I would venture to say that a good percentage of the crowd didn't care a thing about motorcycles, which is why they weren't there last time around. Everyone is just all "star-struck" by the Teutels and was there for that reason alone. I'll tell you what, though, that whole back right corner of the Javits center was like a huge can of sardines.

Plus, as was mentioned, none of the vendors had anything really outrageous on display. It'll take a lot for me to consider going back next year, let's just hope the Auto Show isn't that packed...
