i have a 98 SVT with 56k miles. i just got finished changing the plugs and wires. once i got it all put back together, i took it around the block and it ran really rough. got home and noticed the connector on the side of the throttle body was not plugged in. while it was running, i also heard a popping noise. there was an arc from the number 2 wire to the little connector on the corner of the coil pack. i moved the wire around, but it kept arcing. so i turned the car off, moved some stuff around, and tried to start it again. turned the key and heard a loud pop, then nothing. now nothing electrical works. lights wont turn on, radio, ignition, nothing! what happened? fuse maybe and if so, where? please help!

if you have nothing electrical... wow I don't know. I'm assuming from your name you have an SVT. If not then please specify if you have the four or 6 cylinder and if it's atx or mtx.

You may have crossed plug wires. I've heard of a lot of people with the duratecs doing that. Check to see if you fried your coil pack also. That is about all I can tell you. Maybe see if you have a mega-fuse and check that.

you probably blew a fuse or burned a fuseable link i herd there is a mega fuse on the fire wall in the engine bay behind the coil pack on the v6

what plugs did you use?
you should only use autolite double plats
