what is this "swage" you refer to? I have never heard of this. Is it some sort of soldering tecnique?
Its a tool used in bending or shaping cold metal. Kinda like forging but without the heat.
Generaly it means to join with pressure ie. the cable is inserted snugly into the terminal and then with the proper tool is crimped tightly. No soldering involved.
