Has anyone here been able to get the Optima Red Top battery to fit into a V6 without much modification?

It fits pretty well, I had to grind down one post a little bit to keep it from hitting the hood.

lay it on its side in the battery box. then use a dremel and remove the plastice from the battery box around where the terminals are.

No, I had to do modification to get my Orange Top (Now know as Red top with reverse posts) to fit in the stock battery box. I believe if you reference 34R that will get you the Orange Top (now with Red top) as you can see in my engine bay below!

Those nice heavy duty terminals... who makes them and where'd you get them?

ah, i was wondering because it'd be nice to find some low-profile dual-terminals. all the ones i've found seem to sit higher than the post itself.
