Alright at the rear of my se 'tour the bumper comes to a point above the wheel well and it pops out because of lack of screw, pop rivet etc... What is supposed to go there? I can feel two tabs that go into the body and what feels like a hole for a screw.

My 2000 CSVT had the same problem straight from the factory! There are two screws that are supposed to hold the sides of the rear cover inboard. The screw heads, on mine, were busted right off. I think perhaps they broke mine during rail transport from the factory to the dealer. Anyways, I just recently fixed them myself.

One day while I had the rear wheels off, I removed the other lower screw that holds the bumper to the plastic wheelwell liner. Then I needed to use needle nose pliers to turn the broken piece of screw out of the bumper covers retaining clip. The bumper is flexable enough to actually pull it out and see what's going on. Then I just put it back together with new screws. Hope this helps.

been there done that....when i installed my svt bumper on my gl i ran into the same problem, cause ford thought it a good idea somewhere along the lines to CHANGE the size of the screws so mine didnt fit..... so this is what i did....

you get yourself a good set of locking vise-grips, a 5/16" bolt and lock nut...about an 1 1/4" long or so....there is actually enough space for you to lock down on the nut and slide it up inside the bumper and then tighten the bolt down from inside the wheel well....works well if you take the rear wheel and wheel liner out....great fix too....from the outside it looks factory! hth.....
