SVT would lose horribly. A good 3.0L swap might be able to keep up.

Since VW didn't make a Rabbit in 85 its either older than 85 or its not a Rabbit its a Golf. I have one i know it was the first year for the MK2 Jetta/Golf Chassis. the MK1 chassis for some reason in Europe it was called a Golf but here in the states it was a Rabbit. The Rabbit in 85 was renamed Golf in the states with the new chassis. And if that car has a true 1.8T in it a CSVT wouldn't stand a chance. Base HP is 180 with a CAI and a chip they'll easily hit 220-240hp. 200hp in a MK1 or MK2 VW is enough to break you into the high to mid 13's. And thats for an average driver. Once i get the motor built for mine it should be a 12 second car if i can keep the damn tranny together. 2.0L Xflow SDS and 15 lbs of boost should produce close to 300hp once i can get it all tuned properly.
