The door speakers front and rear are 6x8's. I have Polk Audio EX368's in mine front and rear with an Alpine CDM-7874 head. Sounds awesome! Of course I just listen to REAL music, not all that boompa-boompa noise.
8 or 10 inch woofers, IMO, would not fit. There's just not enough room.

I dont think they would either. You would need enough room behind for the window to roll down. And if you built a housing for them half way out of the door it might hit your legs.

I suppose that 6" rounds would fit, but you'd have to drill some holes and fill the voids left by the 6x8 opening. I was reading a post earlier today by someone who said that they made a plexiglass plate to mount some 6" round speakers to AND they mounted a tweeter on this plate then screwed the whole shebang to the stock opening. He said it worked well. Food for thought, huh?

Ya, I have read before that people have done that. The plexi glass piece to fill the void is called a baffle (IIRC) The ones I have read are made of 1/2 to 3/4 inch MDF. So if anyone has done this and is reading is 6" as big as you can go??

8" drivers will fit with minor mods. Just find one with less tha 3.875" of depth.

So a flat 7" will fit? I am going to assume that it will since you are saying an 8" will with mod.. and the 7" being flat will make up for the depth problem.

I did a little bit of modding and got some 6.5 components stuffed in there really nice. Going anything bigger then 6.5 is gonna make you cut away more door then I think is worth it for the larger speaker size.
