What would be the quickest way to an extra 20 hp, aside from forced induction, on a non-SVT duratec??

install SVT components, that's exactly what SVT did and bumped the it up nearly 30hp from the NA2.5L duratec.
Get the SVT intake, heads, cams, and exhaust, and VOILA, you're set. . . .it'll be $$$$ though.

The leather makes it heavy though. I say MSDS and be done with it.

im sure thats not the only thing
SE curbweight (98) 3030
SVT curbweight (98) 3068
your getting more weight from somewhere else not JUST the seats, my SE has leather, tell me why the SVT seats would be heavier than normal leather? just curious? not trying to be a smartass

What I am saying is that non-leather SE's exist, non-leather SVT do not, the 30 extra hp would not be worth the extra cost included in upgrading, thats IMO. And if you take the leather out, you loose a lot of weight. The curb weight on the base model SE was 2811, not 3030. Some say 2900lbs. I say if you want a fast car, get an SE and mod it. If you want the SVT you are paying a lot more for the 30 extra hp. But you also get looks with that. Leather is just not my thing. Keep in mind this is only my opinion.
