I recently installed a much younger set of 99 SVT struts and springs on my 98 E0 SVT. I also installed the camber adjusting kits on the front at the same time. To make the job go faster when the installation was actually done, I purchased new upper parts to pre-assemble the front struts before taking the car apart.
The camber adjusting kit takes the place of the upper strut bushing (the part you had a link to). I also replaced the metal uper spring "hat" or retainer and the strut bearing.
The rears do not have strut bearings since the rears do not rotate from turning the steering wheel.
As I remember, the strut bearing is about $15.00 to $20.00 each. They don't give much trouble on Contours, but there is a lot of labor involved to pull the strut down and replace them.
If you are lowering the car or have a lot of negative camber to begin with, the camber adjusting kits are a real life saver and well worth installing at the same time.
You can find a discussion about the effects of lowering the car on camber and see the camber kits at BAT
www.batinc.net You can also find them at SP Motorsports as well as many auto parts stores. They are made by Specialty Products. I bought mine from Fast Undercar.
