Sh'e got over 130K miles on her. So far there is only a little oil loss everytime I run her at track days/road course schools. No signs of any other issues (knock on wood). I think I have the occasional leak of PS fluid from the drive wheel seal down the engine block (drive belt side). I've always used synthetic for the fluids (less rad).

Is it too late or crazy to think about putting in an S/C? Experts and users, please let me know what you think.

I am no expert but here is my opinion, FWIW...
Compression test your motor to see if it is in good shape. If so, Turbo it (Not S/C) with Street Flights kit. Worst thing happens, you pop your motor and you have the kit what will work on a new 2.5L (of 3.0L for that matter).

Better yet, do a leakdown test; It will give you a better idea about the condition of your rings. Believe me, you don't want boost on a engine with a leaky compression ring...Boost in oil pan = big mess (I should have taken pictures) .

Man, I am getting good at this. You have agreed with me twice in the last week. I razz you, Tom, but I think you are one of th most detail oriented people that I know. That is a skill-set I need to become better at.

I'm not too familiar with a leakdown test. What is that? How does it differ from a compression test?

Let me give this a try.

A compression test uses a gauge that screws into the spark plug hole and test how many psi your cylinder makes on the compression stroke. Test the peak PSI. Your cyl may make a normal PSI but maybe leaking air buy after the cyl fires.

A leak down test uses compressed air(?) forced into the Cyl and sees how long it takes for the air to leak down to set PSI. This will let you know if the valves are seating right and if the rings are sealing good.

How did I do?

Just a Plain SE. AKA Big Country I maybe path914's B**** now, but wait until he needs his clutch done. We will see WHO is WHO's B**** then!
