$215 is nothin high for the type of work, trust me I called around (when trying to fix my timing belt)...cheapest I heard was $150 labor, and that was before I found out there was another problem causing my timing belt to go bad and it jumped up to $280  Anyway, if u can't do it yourself I'd just pay them the $215...or get some hookups from people in car clubs.

I'm in a car club, and we installed my suspension but noone wants to do the cam gears, which I don't blame them. I might could find somebody that would do it for less, but I don't know if I can trust their work.

are tehy really so difficult to install taht it would take 2 hrs?
i pulled a fully hooked up (everything but y-pipe) and running duratec in 3 hours, did most of it by myself, my dad helped seperating it from the tranny and pulling it

Yeah, it's a PITA just to get to them (or the tensioner really),, that's what takes the time. I'll let ya'll know how long it takes the shop to do.

funny, i did the timing belt in about 30 minutes.. then realized i had no compression to number 3 the timing belt is actually very simple.. the serpentine was actually harder to remove.
