I've been reading posts comparing different suspension set ups. I'm thinking either Intrax/Bilstein or the BAT set up. I was wondering if anyone has gone with one of these set ups and later wished they hadn't?

Bilstein struts and BAT springs.
Absolutely Fantastic so far!!!
I just can not state how much better the handling, feel, and response is now and it was good to begin with...

Demon,
How would you rate the Bilstein/BAT spring setup vs. the full BAT European suspension setup? I'm wondering what I missed out on by not waiting a year.

The Bilstein struts are the best available for our car IMO. Quality and craftsmanship are top notch and the performance has been excellent.
Yes even better then Koni's. (don't even bother trying to use the "adjustability" part either)
Softening the struts for cruisin' may be a nice perk (whoop-de-do IMO), but actually "tuning" the proper valving for all four corners is just NEVER going to happen (I.E. pipe dream) without $$$$ for other calibration and multi-scale equipment.
Now don't get me wrong at all. I'm not saying Koni's are bad struts. In fact I think they are high quality units, just not better then the Bilstein Sprintline's for performance and quality.
Seems some magazines and other reports indicate that as well as the 2 I have read recommend the Sprintline's. (IIRC someone posted a link to one of them in an older Bilstein thread)

All I can say is going with good struts is an important thing. My car handles good,etc. but sometimes feels a little looser, like I feel safer pushing a mustang to its limits than pushing my car to its limits (though my limits are higher) because I'm using used svt struts. It could be something else causing this wavy, mushy feeling (bad description) but I'm pretty sure it's the struts. Go with bilsteins or konis and then whatever springs depending on what ride height you want.

I'm pretty happy with the BAT setup. I'm only wondering about what I'm missing. I have Bilstein struts on my Mustang and they are pretty amazing. I was just looking for some comparisons of the rides of the BAT struts vs. the Bilstein Sprintlines and how they would feel on my car.
To add to the confusion, there is rumour that the BAT struts were actually built by Bilstein and if so, what are the phyical differences between the BAT and the Sprintline struts.

1. The Bilsteins are much more aggressively valved. They are a race/track strut for the street.
2. That rumor is as false as it is old.
