Hey guys,
I did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for. Anyway, the problem is when I open the driver's side door from the inside of the car (to exit vehicle) and attempt to lock the doors with the lock/unlock switch on the door, all the doors lock except for the driver's side lock which attempts to lock (makes that noise) and then clicks loudly and stays unlocked. It seems like something is getting stuck and prevents it from locking. I do have keyless entry and it doesn't seem to be a problem when I use the fob to lock the door after I close it, but IS a problem when the door is ajar. The door locks fine if I don't open it and hit the button from inside the car, but obviously I have to exit the car first and then lock the door. Anyone else have this problem? It's only happening on my 97 and it is very annoying and I fear eventually something is going to break and render the whole lock useless. Thanks for your help!

Dunno, my problem was when locked, Couldnt Unlock, could be similar, I took my door panel off and put WD-40 over anything that is mechanical... works like a brand new door lock too!

got the exact same problem. Except, I also lose power to my drivers door lights they all go out, and no windows can be rolled up or down. makes for a really cold ride (30 mile drive home from work) on a freeway going 70. I noticed the days it gets cold it does it a lot. but warmer days nothing. I am gonna take it to the dealer in january and see whats wrong with it.
