My first SVT Contour was hit by a woman not paying attention. She was merging onto Snowden River Pkwy from Brokenland Pkwy and I was in the left lane. Well..she kept going and boom...

Hey scott, you taken that on the next cruise. We'd have a Linc LS, Mazadaspeed, and Hy Sonata? Those are nice looking cars though. I seen a grey one with rims going down the road and it looked pretty good. They have definitely come a long way. You and your wife raced yet? Come on tell us the truth!

You win a prize for be so calm about it... Is there any SVT or contour drivers in the Hampton area ?? cuz Iam putting on eibachs on my 98 SVT. and Everyone and there mother around here is trying to tell be 300 bucks just for Labor...So I said Lick my Nine  And Iam going to take it to the Hobby shop on base and go at it tomorrow. I wouldnt mind so tips...or some things to look out for...cuz Iam going from the book. In other words Iam kinda saying I have no clue WTF Iam doing...I got a good jist on how the struts and coils are put together but taking it apart is the whole hard part.

Becareful of the bolts, they tend to get weak so don't pull on them hard, my lowering experience turned into a distaster. I cracked the top part of my shock (the screw part) and had to get another shock, and every where around here was special order and didn't have it in stock, so thanks to a local ceg'r that assisted me on a 11PM night run I got it done, but let me tell you! Have someone who has done it before with you..You also need spring compressors if you don't have those.

Just make sure you have a Ford Repair CD or some sort of repair manual. Also, you will need a good spring compressor. They won't come off without it. AndyW and I have done a couple sets of Shocks/Springs. It's a very time consuming task.
