115,000 miles. Owned since 17,000 miles.

Battery died at 95,000, but only after several "oops..left the lights on" incidence.

Water pump at 104,000, but only after warning me for 10,000 miles with squeaking and coolant loss.

Heater resistor "charred" and replaced under recall at somwhere in the 90,000 miles.

Of course the usual brake pads/rotors/plugs/wires and all the other consumeables. Have always used Mobil-1 5-30 synthetic...and alternated between Mobil-1 filters and Motorcraft filters.

Oh...the remote trunk rrelease died 2 years ago...and my sunroof no workie...

96 SE v6 MTX bought May 03 w/ 63,000 miles it now has 70,000

so far... in this short interval of time:
--May, waterpump (Ford payed)
--end of may another waterpump (incorrect installastion) and all radiator hoses, which slipped off on the way home from ford and left me stranded on the side of the road. (Ford payed)
--Oil Pan Gasket (100 deductible)
--Radiator resevior (100 deductible
--Ford had to replace one cylinder head and all gaskets (100 deductible)
--MAF tube (100 deductible)
--both axles (100 deductible)
--wheel bearings both sides (431$) oh and they had to fix Fords screw up... they used the wrong bolts for the axles and crossthreaded the incorrect bolts. Can they do anything right?

Finally my car is running smoothly. Always buy a warranty! Unless you are buying that 4cl camry someone was talking about. Ford has spent more money keeping my car on the road than I payed for it! My car handles superbly and looks great...how long will this last? Who knows.

I have 140K kms on mine. I bought it with 108k.

-waterpump. It wasn't gone, but why wait?

- steering rack was cooked

- struts and one spring went

- all sway bar end links were replaced

- fuel filler neck

- CV boot

- I have to pull a Fonzie and whack the dash every now and then when the speedo doesn't work

- the tranny is reluctant to shift from time to time

That's about it. All in all, it has still been cheaper than monthly payments. And it handles better than many newer, more exoensive cars.

2000 SE bought early September 2002 with ~45k miles already on the clock.

50k-alternator went out-replaced OEM
55k-plug wires burnt out-replaced FRPP
60k-fuel pump went out-replaced OEM
60k+3-second fuel pump went out, had FI system flushed and cleaned-replaced OEM for free

Current CEL is for code P0430-front cylinder bank precat not functioning properly. I replaced the exhaust manifold and the code remains, hence bad O2 sensor. So that's next.

Bought mine Dec. 13, 2002, with 48,057, it now has 71,400.

1-16-2003:

IAC Replaced
Fog Light Assembly Melted
LT Inner/Outer Tie rods

3-5-2003:

4 New tires

3-12-2003:

Starter
Bank 1 Cat Converter
Courtesy Dome Lamp Switches

3-24-2003

4-21-2003

EGR pressure feedback valve

5-14-2003

Clutch disc/throw out bearing/pressure plate
3rd gear synchro
Spider Gears Blown
RT Outer Tie Rod End
Both rear parking brake cables
A/C Compressor Shaft Seal O-rings
Drivers side rear door repainted (paint flaking off)

6-3-2003

Alignment (didn't align it after new tie rod)
Tranny Cocktail (shifting was hard since they took trans out last time)
Shifter twitches in 4th gear, lots of play (still does it, they claim it's fine)

I can't the paper work for dates on some of this other stuff but:

(2) 02 sensors
Oil pan and gasket
Paint started flaking off again took it back and now my car is two shades of silver (STupid Bastards)
IAC replaced again
A/C leak fixed and charged again
4 more new tires
Other fog light assembly melted (WTF?)

And the stuff on the list that needs to be done:

Lower control arms
Wheel Bearings
Some kinda crazy electrical problem

Ok, I think I'm done...hows that for Ford QUALITY!
