If you look closely you can usually see the tiny platinum plate on the side electrode and sometimes the center one too. I check and gap the plugs as needed, being careful not to scratch or dislodge the platinum plate.

at best guess I would say the plugs. Granted Bosch makes some kick ass plugs. But Ford engines (especially ours) are extremely pickey engines when it comes to spark plugs. The best type you should use in these cars is either Autolite Double Platinums(SP?) or Motorcraft plugs. on my Zetec engine I put Champion Double Platniums in which I payed like 20$ for 4 of them. Ran great for about 2 weeks, then my engine cracked one of them and I started to get misfires like crazy. I am back to Misfiring again, but this time its my fuel system, and only if I really horse the engine (im expecting my fuel pump isnt giving much pressure).

8 month old thread. The season for plugs is uppon us.

In the fall, when the weather is cool, we'll revive the UIM vac leak threads.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I had some faulty NGK plugs in my Civic. The ceramic piece actually broke off in cylinder #3. NGK wouldn't pay though cause they said that they were torqued wrong.

Anyone want a 1994 Honda Civic EX 5spd??? $3000. It burns a little oil now but other than that its fine.

Seriously.
