Basically looking for a laptop fairly cheap to haul around MP3's. Say to take to parties to hook up to stereo systems. Does anyone know of any reliable online places? I don't trust Ebay when it comes to this.

Ebay prehaps. Or maybe look at Dell refurbs on their website. I guess I am partial to Dells. Other than that maybe seek out some computer forums and look for classified sections. Also check the newpaper classifieds, you would be surprised what you find in those things. If find something in the newpaper its local so you could go see the computer before you buy it. Also, there are places like Computer Reneisance(sp?) where you can buy a used computer retail. Check your yellow pages.

I have a couple laptops for sale. I just wanna get rid of them because I'm gonna be moving in a month or so and that'll be one less thing I gotta pack. One of my laptops is only like 33 mhz lol so i don't think you'd want that one, but the other one is 133 or 166 i think and theres not alot of junk on it so it runs pretty fast and I've had hundred of mp3's on it before. I also have a cable that goes from the headphone output jack on the laptop to a RCA input on a stereo. But anyways, if you're interested send me a message.

Ipod's not a bad idea. Definitely the price range I'm looking for. Thank's for the tips. I tried pricewatch, but the cheapest one was $350.

A little insight on iPods: http://www.ipodsdirtysecret.com/
I do have one, a gen III 30gb. Love it, but the battery issue does worry me. Also check out Philips portable media players and why not Dells also. RCA and Creative have ones also.
