Well, got my CEL scanned yesterday, and it came up IMRC might be stuck closed, misfire in cylinder #2, and fuel sensor malfunction. Didn't really find what I was looking for in the archives. Anyway, I'm not too concerned about the IMRC as I'm just going to get a new one from Bill Jenkins. Anyone have a part # for that? I heard their like $150 or so. The misfire is my concern. Does this mean the coil pack might be shot? I just put new wires and plugs on the car last winter (crappy Bosch +2 plugs, which I didn't know at the time that they weren't that great for our cars, and I wasn't about to change them again). Or could it be the crappy plugs? Also, anyone have instructions how to change the fuel sensor? I might do this when I change the fuel pump.

I would suspect plugs or wires before the coil pack. Many people have had problems with Bosch plugs while others love them; they're very hit-or-miss. Autolite APP764's are about $4 apiece at my local Advance Auto, so $25 to rule out plugs isn't a bad deal.

I have replaced my wires and plugs several times, and it seems after 6-8 months the car is back to running bad. I've tried several types of plugs, with the same result. So if anyone else has some suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Also I just replaced my IMRC (it died) got one at a junk yard for $20, dealer wanted like $130! Feels like a new car!

Yeah, I think I'll replace the plugs anyway, for that price. Advance Auto is close to me anyway.

It would help if you identified the plugs and wires that you used.
