I have saved up about two thousand dollars, that I may or may not spend on my car. I have a T-red 98 SVT that is stock except for the audio system, 17" Rage Breakers, and a kkm intake. I might get new headlights because mine are fogged up.

So if you had 2k to spend on my car what would you do ? Im not entirely sure I wanna use it on my car because i might sell the car this summer and get like a B18 hatch or something with more potential.

Edit : Oh yea, I have the res cut and dynomax mufflers also.

Eh, I cant quite afford a supercharger, let alone the installation (i have no mechanical ability whatsoever) plus ive heard theyre unreliable as hell. Thanks for the suggestion though.

if you have even the slightest doubt about keeping this car, don't bother spending the $$ on modding it.

too many people I've seen on this site that have that sliver of doubt. sure enough, they always end up selling their 'tour, even after dumping money on mods during that period of doubt.
makes me sad really to see members go byebye.

however, with that money, I'd get a stainless catback exhaust, and lower it with some aftermarket springs and struts. with labor, those would definitely eat up the $2k.

All depends on what you want out of it really. DO you want ot make it looks nicer or do you want power? For power I'd go with MSDS headers, optimizing the y-pipe and either a nice catback or a safc OR lightened flywheel and a LSD either one should put you right around $2000 after install.

If you want the looks then maybe one of the body kits from the GB section or lowering it would do wonders for the overall look of the car and maybe a mirko for the front if you don't go with a whole bodykit.

I agree though about having doubts. Before you dump any serious money into the car make sure you aren't going to want to sell it because you won't get that money back.

I'd go with a Bassani or Brullen cat-back, MSDS hearders and Ypipe, possibly Fidanza and Quaife or maybe a Spec. If you need help just drop me a PM and Ram-Motorsports can help you out. Thanks

Heres what I'd so if I were you:

1. get the new headlights and install the Silverstar
9005's across the board. Don't forget to replace
the amber running/turn signal bulbs too
about $300.00 for everything, shop around.

2. lower the car with new springs and go ahead with new
struts while your at it. Eibach for the "even" look
and H&R's for the "racked" look.
$700.00 for the Eibach/Sprintlines from BAT
$730.00 for the H&R's/Sprintlines from SPMotorsports

3. B&M short throw, drive one with it and you'll see
$175.00

These are just a couple ideas for you that would make your car feel and look new again Why sell a car thats pretty close to an M3 and buy a Civic, I don't get that at all

Ground Controls = $400
Koni Yellows= $560
Aussie Bar = ~$150
Front Strut Tower Bar = ~$75
Rear Strut Tower Bar = ~$25 for the Matt Thalken special
Installation = ~$250

If you could go a little over $2k, get some decent seats (about $8-900 for 2) and 4-point harnesses (about $250 for 2). You now have an autocross demon.
