a buddy of mine sent me these links... I have no idea if they exist and would work for our cars, nor do i know if they would be harmful to our cars if tried. But i thought somebody might enjoy the knowledge.

the links:

Item 1

All that does is tell the computer you've pressed the gas pedal down further than you have. If you wish to get the same effect for free, just press your gas pedal down further.

Item 2

This item sends a false air temp signal to your computer, telling the computer its colder outside than it really is, so the computer responds by sending more fuel. This is really hit or miss, and a really dumb way to mod your car even if it does happen to improve your performance a little in warm weather. Usually it doesn't do much, as your car can't make use of the additional fuel.

I remember these were hot topics on the New Edge Cougar board a couple years ago (I used to have a 2000 Cougar).

The idea behind the TPS tweak is that, on the cars checked, when the gas pedal was mashed, the TPS was only showing around 92-95% open throtle. No one could supply data (dyno) showing what difference there was when the TPS was registering 100% though.
[EDIT: oops, just clicked the links... that TPS tweak is different from what I was talking about, but leaving what I typed just incase...]

The IAT tweak, if I remember correctly, did show decent dyno gains, though will kill your cat and gas milage. So most people installed a switch on their dash/shifter to activate.

DemonSVT told me that 100% reading from the TPS is used for the computer to tell if the TPS is bad or something like that, and that the TPS (if good) shouldn't read over 95%.
