Hey i just got a few questions for everybody
i let someone else drive my car and they came back oil was leaking out of the oiil pan he said he bottomed out back pulling into a drive way ...anyways i was just wondering if the SVT oil pan is the same as every other V6 tour????
and is it hard to change the oil pan????i had to change one on a corvettte before and it was hard and that was when i had axcess to a lift...my buddy said its easy i dont know

Not sure if the part is the same or not. I imagine they are.

Hey I have a baffeled oil pan that i bought from BAT new in box with gasket if your interested. I am not going to put it in.

If you are going to spend money on a better oil pan then get the 3M4Z pan. DO NOT get the BAT pan as it is a much earlier revision that DOES NOT have the new baffling or drain back channels.

Try searching the 3L forum for oil pan info in GREAT detail.


BTW - the 3M4Z pan kit is around $75. Pan, gasket, and all new hardware.

thanks for all the help but i already got a new pan
and i hate my fncking life
i want my car to die
for some damn reason thats to hard to explain
the exhuast wont come off
i unbolted it(kinda) and it still wont
i tried yelling at it
beating it with hammer
swearing at it
prying at it with a crowbar
kicking it
punching it
im now 2 and a half hours in to my oil pan replacment project and i only undid 2 of the exhaust bolts
damnit why
why
why wont some one just steal my car
sorry just venting
i cant figure it out

try removing all the bolts on the exhaust y pipe first that what happened on my accord it would not budge until i got that last bolt out
