Well well, it boiled down between a 99 Ford Mustang black with gray racing strip down center with 95k miles and no waranty for $6000

and a Black 2000 Contour se with 35,995 miles for $6000 also total out of the door, with the existing 5 miles of factory waranty and a 6month/6kmiles powertrain (which i was told covered all lubricated parts including motor and transmission) waranty, with new tires and new battery.

So as hard as it was, i made the mature decision and bought my 4th Contour/Mystique. I have inspected it top to bottom while at the dealership (yes i bought a car from the local ford stealership, as much as i hate them) Had a carfax ran, and am not too terrible worried, as it does have that warranty. But i kinda laughed as i drove off the lot the new factory waranty that it had on most everything (3 years/36kmiles) expired with the odometer rolling over.

I think i recieved a fair deal, nothing extra specail, i have studied up on all the book values of these cars and know them well.

Now, first project...to see if its possible to install the decont clock. That was my favorite feature and why i wanted another 98 and while at it probally never hurts to change the oil already.

I can deffintly tell this car was thrown together from spare parts, the door inner panels seem to be what would go on a mystique from the power accesories lay out, and they are plastic all the way down instead of carpeted like the other models, even the door sticker says contour/mystique. also has a depreciation date sticker on the door???

Thanks for all the help over the last year, and if anything happens to this car..well i wont have insurance, and ill never get another contour/mstique...haha,

and if anyone wants what seems like a really good deal on a mystique..check the link, i wanted this one BAD but couldnt get to atlanta to check it out.

Good deal on the Contour and good choice! You dont want a crustang espically if it is the V6! Just to let you know though my 98 se has all plastic door pannels no carpeting. Is it an ATX or MTX? what color? Good luck with the new ride!

Automatic, the greatest way to be lazy

and its a dark black with the midnight blue interior i belive. The door panels will take a little getting used to, defintly not as comfy.
