Hi today I bought 4 new spark plugs for my 1996 zetec Autolite APP 5364 did I get the right plug for my zetec? THANKS GUYS

I think those will work,, though I use 5344.

speaking of plugs, what are the best plugs available for the contour zetec?

autolite double platinums are the best you can buy IMO

I remember some people saying they had trouble with autolite double plats, most recommends OEM motorcrafts, some say those are the same plugs, some say aren't. there was a lots of debate on this. most people use autolite or motorcraft, also most recommends against bosch. there's an interesting reading about zetec spark plugs T.

Autolites work fine for me. I think people that had problems either had other car trouble that was exxagerated with the new plugs, or had faulty plugs.

Don't mean to hijack here Harry, but I have a question. Plus, maybe this could help you out also.
Doing a spark plug/wire change this afternoon on a 98 LX 2.0L and was wondering if ya'll had any tips/tricks to make sure everything goes smoothly???
Never done this on a Zetec before.

It's simple if you've got the right tools (spark plug socket and extension) just put those wires on in the right order and be careful not to break the plugs when removing them and don't overtorque the new ones.

Thanks!! Yep, I got the right tools. I figured that it'd be like any other spark plug change. I just wanted to be sure there wasn't something I should know about (concerning the zetec).
