QUESTIONS:

1 - could the bad speed sensor code come from the voltage drop. In other words, does a bad sensor need more power than a good one?

2 - can I disable the ABS completely? How?

3 - would simply disconnecting the ABS light be dangerous?

WHY WOULD I WANT TO DO THIS?

My ABS light comes on as soon as there is a voltage load. (ie, the a/c + headlights). This has been happening since my water pump blew itself to bits. The ABS light came on as soon as I noticed the temperature going up and the high speed fan kicked in.

It went away for awhile but now it is on constantly. I am getting two codes (apparently). One for corroded terminals and another for a bad sensor. Cleaning the ABS computer terminals has not helped. They were very corroded.

I cannot justify buying a new ABS computer that is $1500 Canadian. I would rather sell the car for parts. The battery is new and connected well and I can't see corrosion anywhere.
