On the Ford service CD, it specifies torque (nm) for almost all the bolts & nuts for the four mounts/restrictors... but it doesn't mention the bolts for the rear restrictor (only the center bolt and the mounting plate bolts). Unrelated to this thread, the CD doesn't mention torque for the center bolts on both upper mounts... or even mention removal/install of them.

The Haynes manual is pretty screwey in this area also.

(BTW, I did search the forums too).

Should these be torqued to 83nm like the other bolts? I was primarily concerned about the long bolt -- even though it's marked as 8.8, I'd rather not snap it.

Thanks!

I torque mine as hard as the small 18" breaker bar can go.

It still had occasion to go off center though after hard launches. (hopefully fixed now )
I'd really like to replace the oversized inner bushing with one that is bolt sized!

Then again I did in a way. (94A hardness Urethane casting compound)

Thanks Demon... figured it would be you who'd reply

Ok, so it sounds like I shouldn't worry about snapping one of the bolts on that mount.

I filled both of my lowers with 94a... and I removed the upper-drivers side to fill. Seems that I'd need an impact wrench to disassemble the mount (which I didn't have), so I put the mount back on. I thought I tightened those bolts exactally where they were before, but I had a moderate vibration while accellerating, so I had to get that $71 chunk of iron (502-003 alignment tool).

That 94a is wicked hard! Have you installed your solid 94a mounts yet?
