sounds like it could be the resistor pack, The suject of a recall on some, IIRC. You have the classic symtoms, fan only runs at high speed. The resistor pack is located in the car's air duct. Not sure if under the hood. but I know there is one. It looks about 1 1/2 X 2.5 inches, has a plug on it with maybe 5 wires. Just screwed into the air duct somewhere. If you are lucky, under the hood. The resistors look like little coils of wire, some heavy and some light. look for signs of overheating at the plug connection and the coils themselves. Another suspect is the fan high speed relay (don't know it you have one). These send power to the resistor pack for all speeds EXCEPT high. if it has failed (again if it has one) this could be your problem. Look in your owner's manual for the relay. It's in with the fuses. good luck...
