Eight grand/reserve not met? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! One of these days rayray3e is either going to face up to the fact that these things depreciate like m***********s, or he'll go insane, get committed and his family can sell it for significantly less. His mileage is almost identical to mine, less than three thousand more than I've got on mine. Okay, if his reserve is $8500 he's got a chance. Any more than that and fuhgetaboutit. Then again, I haven't checked the value of my car at Edmund's lately, I don't want to get depressed.  --T.J.

At least he's not expecting to get $11K + like some in the CEG classifieds. Big problem is average car buyers see 5 speed and foru doors and freak out.

I see 5 speed Contours on Ebay a lot going for no reserve. One ad for a 97 MTX, the dealer says, "How do I end up with these oddballs"? Dealers flat out don't want clutch cars! [Unless it's a 2 door sporty car.]
If Hector wants a 5 speed, look on Ebay and get one cheap, then transfer mods, sell the 2000 with the stock parts.

Im looking for an almost direct swap with a Black MTX pre-98 V6 Contour. For my Champaigne 96 V6 Mystique. Leather and sunroof would be nice in the contour too.
