I just had a new alternator put in and it is a mean green alternator (200 amp). when i was driving on the freeway to school i punched it to pass a car, i went to about 4500-4750 rpms and the battery light was flickering on my 96 tour. i dont know if it is my battery or alternator cause everything in my car is brighter, the vents blow harder, my neons are brighter, and my system is louder and dosent cut out with all my lights and vents on. please help to understand. thanks

sounds like to me you may have a bad voltage regulator inside the alternator, although I don't know anything about mean green alternator... that is my guess.
