For me it's on t-red and there's prolly about 6-7 coats put on for that 'ing shine to work up to winter protection. Then every spring it gets stripped and repeated all over again.

I've got 40 coats of Z-2 and have 4 coats of Z-1 (Sal says to use a coat of Z-1 for every 10 coats of Z-2). Of course this has been since the Spring, so I guess in about 9 months I have done 40 coats. How do you strip Zaino? Sal says that Dawn and even a clay bar will not remove it.

Well not exatcly strip it, but I will go over it w/ the clay bar as the paint is usually starting to get rough after the winter abuse. So if it doesn't actually come of... then I've lost track of the coats that are "actually" on then.

40 coats...so there are others out there I'm stuck on 35 right now because of my recent injury, guess I'll have to make up for it next year. BTW, for those who don't know, I use the "M" product One more thing, why would you want to strip any coats of Zaino, heck, why would you want to strip any wax off for that matter

Ok so strip wasn't the proper wordage there. Using the clay on the paint once a year, I figured that took off the polish.

heh, off the topic of zaino, my car got an estimated 73 coats of gold class this show season and about 20 coats of swirl remover, 3 coats of zymol at the beginning of the year....

Z-1 Polish Lok
Z-2 Polish (use this if you have a light colored car)
or
Z-5 Polish (use this is you have a dark colored car)
Z-6 Spray - I would recommend picking up 2 of these
Z-7 Wash

That's it!

Oh, and be sure to pick up a clay bar at your local auto parts store.

SO the swirl remover isn't really necessary for the Silver Frost?

The clay bar removes embedded contaminents from the top layer of your paint, leaving it smooth and clean for your next steps in the process. I'd do this twice a year, once in the beginning of the season and again at the end of the season (like going into the winter for instance )
