I may have the chance to move out to the Santa Barbara area because of work and just wondering what it is like around there?
As you can understand, Michigan, especially the Detroit area has a large following. How is it out there?

What is Santa Barbara like? ...weather, roads, tracks to visit (road courses, no 1/4 miles for me, thanks)

In a word...it's beautiful out there/here. My wife and I live in Ventura (35 miles south), but she grew up there. The weather is beautiful and lots of fun stuff to do. It is very pricey though if you are looking to buy something. As far as car stuff goes, Laguna Seca is about 250 miles north and Fontana is about 150 south. Lots of upscale cars...Santa Barbara and Montecito have tons of old money. Call me if you want more info (805) 644-0055
