Anyone have any ideas about this one??

Replaced the rear pads on my 98 SVT as they were down to about 20% wear and sqeaking.

Got the car back last night, still squeaking.

Could it be toasted rotors? Calipers??

More like the parking brake cable sticking and holding the pads on....

Thanks for your input Terry.

I should have mentioned that the squeak coming from the rear ONLY occurs when I tap the brakes - if I step down firmly on the pedal, or when cruising, the rear brakes are silent.

I also had the brakes cleaned out, so I'm kinda stumped as to what might be causing the noise.
