Forgive my ignorance, but I really don't know much about suspensions, alignments, and various related things.

Anyhow I went in to get my tires rotated and balanced (god I hate those weights), anyways I had some shudder above say 75 mph (with my foot on and off of the gas). Now it seems to be worse then before.

Which makes me wonder if:

This only highlighted something else wrong, that requires more work

-or-

The balance was done incorrectly


BTW the car has just hit about 16k.

Take it back. It shouldn't do that. Since you just had the balance & rotation done they should honor some sort of warranty. Have them re-check the balance.
