damn it...another problem.


apparently the axle seal is leaking...any suggestions on fixage?



prices to have fixed at a garage? i really dont have time to do this myself with finals week coming. do you think i can drive it for a while? it seems to be getting worse.

That's a very old leak why fix it? Are there drops in the driveway? If not and you're not getting a grinding noise then don't worry about it.

i only get a grinding noise when i miss a shift. and no, no drips.

I get grinding on shifts too

I wouldn't bother with the leak. It appears to be very old and to have stopped.

The bottom of my car is a little oily too. I keep an eye on my engine oil & brake fluid level & power steering. So far so good!

well in feb 03, i blew the block heater out of the engine...like completely. lol. anyway, coolant was coming out faster than i could put it in. i was 200 miles from home and it was like -25 outside. i finally just said fuckit. i drove it home, did 45 in 5th gear (to keep RPMS wayyyy low) and kept the vent blowing heat in on high. the gauge never went into the red. anyway, what im saying is, could this be residual? i thought the coolant would have burned off by now...
