What's the cost on that sucker? It certainly looks like a fun bike to cruise around on!

It's interesting that they put Deore components on it, but the rear derailuer is XT.

Love the name of the seat, too. (MY LOVE FOR YOU IS LIKE A TRUCK, BERSERKER!!!)

I don't know man. K2 really doesn't have that great of a reputation as far as MTB goes. Plus they skimped out on some of the parts. Unless you plan to upgrade immediatly I would stay away. The Manitou Black had some oil leakage problems and the Deore shifters/front derueller are pretty much worthless on the trail.

Sorry to deflate you, but that is the truth.

yeah but for my budget- under $700 this is about the best thing I have seen - also i talked to a lot of people and read a lot of reviews- the K2 is said to be an excellent bike- the brass monkey especially so. for $700 find me a better bike with the same or better components- you wont - ive been looking since late sept-

its near the same geometry as the other bike i was looking at- the Specialized HR pro Disc but has better components and is close to 6 lbs lighter.

nuff said for me

I haven't heard anything about the Black's reliability, but I sure did like the way it felt.
As far as Deore goes...it's kinda bottom of the line, but you'll get by.

Scot, if you haven't checked ebay out, you'll regret not doing so. Seriously, check Ebay out! It's a buyers market. I can't tell you how many pros win bikes and sell them on Ebay the next day! At least look...

i love supergoes shipping rates too!! i got 2 day fedex and it only cost $13.50 not to shabby

so
bikes on the way!! and as far as the components go - i dont give a crap about it as long as its shimano and not going to fall apart- i men how many people use mobil 1 compared to those who dont- i cant afford full syn motor oil - but in MT biking everyone [censored] and moans about components- but they wont put mobile 1 in their car- see what i mean??

anyway

let me rewrite this for you:
I don't know man. Ford Contour really doesn't have that great of a reputation as far as cars goes. Plus they skimped out on some of the parts. Unless you plan to upgrade immediatly I would stay away. The Duratec V6 had some oil system problems and the car are pretty much worthless as far as performance .

Sorry to deflate you, but that is the truth.

HUM - same argument could be had for an SVT as the brass monkey - but you still got one- interesting.
and well your standard oiling system is junk you may as well just drop an anvil on your engine and save yourself some miles unless you plan on upgrading immediatly.
yada yada yada - do you really want me to go on??

I had forgotten about supergo...that's a darn good place, too.
You picked a good time to shop for a bike, too. Year end sales kick butt.
You'll enjoy the new bike, I'm sure.

P.S. Ouch on that contour-to-bike comparo...You should have your keyboard washed off with soap after writing something like that!
