Hey what's up? I am new to the board and just bought a Black 99 SVT. I don't have to work for the next 3 days and will be messing around on the car the whole time. I want to do some major cleaning of the engine bay.

Is it worth it to pull the intake manifold off and clean it? What would be the best way to do so? What should I clean it with?

How do I customize my intake? I have heard people saying KNN and a home made heat sheild. What do I need to do? Does anyone have pictures of the final product I can go off of?

I am also going to tackle the door ding project. What is a good solvent to get that going?

In the past all I have had are classic cars. Connie will be my first car newer than 1985. I am really open to suggestion with things to do. What else can I do this weekend that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg? I did the mesh grill last weekend.

Welcome!
Goo Gone, as Cain suggested, and a credit card for the door dingy thingys. I used an old AAA card. Works much better than using your thumb nail!
Enjoy your 'Tour!

Hey I have a quick question. I am doing the fog light conversion thing right now, but the how to is different from my car.

I have four wires but the are:
orange/black
orange/white
red/orange
black/red

What should I splice into what?

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. Got it to work.
