Just needs some wheels and tint. BMW's look low from the factory. Unless better handling is wanted.

Classic. Can't go wrong with a 3-series in my opinion.

I let the buyer of my SVT know of this site and it's wealth of information, so hopefully you'll still see my old car around. I guess I'll be trolling around for now...

Can you give a quick comparison between the 325 and the SVT in terms of power and handling, and general drivability? I know what the differences are on paper, and have driven many BMWs but I'd like your feedback as you actually own the car now and have had time to arrive at a thorough comparison. I can guess what you will say but I'd still like your viewpoint. Obviously in terms of overall quality and precision the SVT doesn't measure up, but I'm just curious if the 2.5 in the bimmer does the job and the standard 16" wheels cut the mustard as far as handling.

Thanks if you post feedback.

First of all, thanks for all of the compliments. The bimmers feels like it pulls much stronger than my SVT did. I don't know if it is because it smooth or what, but the power delivery is VERY linear, and there is tourque throughout the entire rev band, no surge of power anywhere. Just smooth. From the seat of my pants, I'd say it's quicker, but we will have to find out at the track. As far as handling, the SVT was awesome, but this is better. I drove a 3 with the sport package, but I didn't notice much if any improvement over the standard wheels and shocks. I was really suprised what the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) actually does, turn it off and you can kick out the rear fairly effortlessly, but with it on it's very docile. The car has a near perfect 50/50 weight distribution and you can tell. Numbers vs. Numbers, the SVT should win. 200 vs 184 hp, 169 vs 175 tq respectively. As far as mods. she's gonna stay stock for a while, mods are kinda pricey. I'd like to maintain the stock look with the wheels, but I wouldn't mind some nice 17's. I'll probably wait until spring to tint the windows. Overall, I am in LOVE with this car, never in my life did I think I would be able to afford one, but here I am. I got a great deal, and it is in awesome shape, I can't even find a single stone chip on the front end. One of the best things about the car is it's warranty, it covers all maintinence, ie: oil changes, wipers etc...,and every bit of the car except for brake pads and tires until 100,000 miles or Jan. 26 of 2008! I like my Ford, but love my BMW.
