Well I'm still having my fuel system gremlin with the car stalling really bad on a warm startup and a massive clunking coming from the rear of the car. Fuel Pump has been replaced with no improvement. Now I noticed coming back from the MN meet that while in nuetral or park, I can't rev over 4k. The engine just sits at 4k and stutters. It feels almost like a rev limiter but at 4k it shouldn't be unless it's somehting that happens in neutral (I can't remember trying to rev it while in neutral/park before) While driving, my car appears to be able to go just fine, I have no problem hitting the 6k mark on accelaration. Anyway I'm wondering if it's related to my Fuel gremlin and will cause some problems.

it's a rev limiter. That's all.

That is a design feature. The Contique ATX has a neutral rev limiter set at about 4,000 RPM to keep you from blowing up the engine from bliping the throttle. The computer shuts down the fuel injectors. You also have an in gear rev limiter at about 6800 RPM and a speed limiter at about 118 MPH.

If you find the 4000 RPM limiter bothersom, try explaining the 3000 RPM limiter to a Lincoln LS owner.

I think it's more to protect the torque convertor than anything else. High rpms in neutral are not good for the convertor.
