I have decided to flush my tranny 96 V6 w/102k.
Calling around I find some places claim they flush 100% of old the old fluid and others claim around 90% and cost less does it really matter what way I go? I do have the O/D light issue

I wouldnt do it. Ive heard SO many times where they get their tranny flushed, and it goes out 2 weeks later. just my opinion though.

The 90% flush is basically a drain and refill. This is the same as you can do in your driveway and is harmless and healthy for your ATX. You can (and should) repeat the drain and refill after a short run up and back through the gears to remove as much dirt as possible, The 100% flush will pump the old fluid out under pressure which may/may not be good for the seals, etc. Make sure to use Mercon fluid. The synthetic and synthetic blends seem to run a little smoother imho.

BTW: What is the O/D light issue? Blinking maybe? frown

It is blinking.
Through research it is either a solenoid/switch or
valves. One tranny guy I spoke with sd approx. $600 if the valves and not worth the money.
I just want cleaner fluid to see it that helps or if I ever decide to trade-in
