I called my dealer who will be working on my car. They didn't know about the riveted-on, steel brace repair which others here have received, showed us pics of, and discussed.

They said the recall says to spread some type of epoxy under the current cover. Then if that doesn't work, new dash.

Anyone gotten the epoxy treatment? Did it work? Any negatives?

I wouldn't go for that.

I'd tell them what I think about it, and that is; its just a ploy to give a quick fix to the dash that they think will last long enough for the recall to expire. Which it does, on August 31. According to the Owner Notification Program letter I received from Ford, informing me of the recall.
