I just got back from the store.

While I was there, I got into an argument with a couple dumb a$$'s that I wanted through the front window.

It turns out that one of the guys was involved in a wreck with a semi. He was saying that the driver was nothing but a stupid redneck who didn't know what the hell he was doing.

At this point, I was calm and relaxed and politely asked him what happed. He told me that he changed lanes on the hwy and had to hit the brakes suddenly.(no biggie there, it happens, you swerve round these guys) Well, he continued to tell me that the truck behind him was not paying attention to the road and hit him, totaling out his car.

I asked him how close he was to the truck when he changed lanes in front of the truck. And I quote, "His grille filled my rearveiw mirror." At this point, I could tell that this guy was an idiot. I calmly explained to him that since he couldn't see the driver, he was dangerously close to the truck to begin with. He very rudely informed me that if the driver did not know how to stop, he shoudn't be on the road. I sternly informed him that because of the size of the truck, it takes them a lot longer to come to a stop. He told me I was full of $hit. At this point I couldn't take it any longer. I just smiled and told him to have a nice night, and to avoid all moving objects.

I so wanted to punch this guy out.

It's people like him that make me realize why my great-grand father, my grand father, and my father hated "four wheelers".

Word of advice to all who read this, If you can see him, he can see you. If you remember that you wil be able to avoid most accidents with semi's.

That was my rant. I'm done.

I figured that was common knowledge.. your 3000lb car stops a whole lot quicker than a 30000lb truck. You gotta have a deathwish if you cut one off.

I try to pass trucks as quick as I can -- never ride along side, let em over when they signal (flash my lights), don't get in front of em when doing downhill... A little common sense goes a long ways...

My job? Rite now, I'm a salesman at PepBoys. The only thing that kept me there this whole year is the fact that I have no d/l. But when I go to get it back in Jan, I'm gonna try to get my Class A CDL. It runs in the family, and I want to carry the tradition that my family as laid before me. Besides, I love traveling.

Yeah, this is a growing problem and in Washington they have started having State Patrol ride around with Semi Drivers and ticketing people who cut them off.

Personally I think all rigs should be equipped with Australian Road Train bullbars so that when a car cuts in too close and gets hit, it gets pushed aside so the truck driver can keep moving, undamaged.
