I have a problem with a door pin switch. On the driver's side front door, the swich has stopped working again. It stops working about once every year. Bascially, it just sticks down. If I push it in, it works a couple of times, and then stops. Also, the screw that holds it on rusts continually. I take the screw off and clean off the rust, and I've tried to make the switch not stick. However, it continues not to work. Normally I would just let it go, but winter is coming, and since my headlamps on chime won't work without the switch, i'd like to find a solution.

Any suggestions would be appriciated.

Thanks in advance.

have you replaced the pin all together yet? have you sprayed it down w/oil or anything to lube it?

I've oiled it, lubed it with white lithium grease, and finally switched the switch with the one from the driver's rear door. The one I took off the driver's door now works perfectly, and the one that worked perfectly before now works intermittantly. I switched it with the pass side front today. The switch works in the pass side now, that should solve my problem for about a year, then I'll need to switch it again.
