OP silvercsvt New CEG\'er S Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 31 maryland,bethesda	the trans is grinding going into second and third gear i think it is the syncronizers but i am not sure any imput ?

If you go real gentle and try and match the revs, (i.e. double clutch) does it do it less severly? Most likely is the synchros if a stick shift. Rebuild cost me $1300 about a year and a half ago. (I supplied my own clutch though.) Former, now returned CEG'er! 95SE MTX, (AKA "The Road Rat"). Stock except for:TH fix, B.A.T. big brake kit, tranny cocktail and lots of re-insulated wiring! May yet be a 3.0! "Speed doesn't kill, stupidity does!"
