hi i have a few question on the uim and lim.
i have a se return ,spare uim and lim.
i want to either port match them or bore them out a bit to say 34mm.which would be the better option.
im not going to do head work so if i was gonna bore the lim i would taper it at the head side to match the head inlet ports.
if i was gonna bore them do i have to keep the id's to 33/34 or could i just make them both 34mm id.
if i bore the secondarys should i taper the bore to just before the butterflys?
also i know the butterflys are like 30mm in the secondary ports ,so should i just bore the primary to 30mm and port match the secondarys?
also could i get bigger butterfly plates?
any help would be appreciated.
i have done a search but didnt find anything other than buy svt which is not an option for me .niether is extrude honing.
thanks
Ben

Find a returnless LIM. They are cheap and easy to come by.

For the UIM the only thing that will make that larger is sending it to Extruded Hone ($$$) You are much better off saving up and buying an 99-00 SVT/ST200 UIM.

I figure you are also doing head work too otherwise these mods will make your intakes larger then your stock head ports.

There was a big reason the SVT's had single or dual EH'd head inlet ports.

thanks for the reply
its just a few people are trying it in the uk that i know of.i was gonna give it a go as i have a spare set,and a bit of time on my hands.
i know the head port sizes ,thats why i said i would taper the lim down to that size .
but if theres not much to be gained or possible loses ,theres no point.
