That's the very same bike I started on (alghough a diff color), and I couldn't be happier that I did...
Enjoy it and get some gear!

Good choice. I can't tell you how many times I run into someone with no riding experience and they want an R1 or Ducati 999 or the like.
Be safe.

Congrats, Kokopelian. FWIW, I haven't gotten bored of my starter bike, which I've now had for about 3 years.

maybe we should have an official CEG starter bike. Something that we pass on to others who want to learn. i'll be ready in about a year...
I'll be ready in 9 months.
seriously, when you're done and want to upgrade, let me know.
we have this network, might as well use it!
Are you talking to me? If Kokopellian does sell his bike in nine months I probably would buy it from him, unless you're talking to him then you would be buying it from him or something.... My plan was to get a new ninja 500 so I could easily finance it and have a warranty. I wouldn't mind financing a bike since they hold their value pretty well, and a 500 is only about $30 a month for the first 2 years, at which time I'd probably be upgrading. I wanted one earlier this year, but my mom wouldn't let me get it. Insurance was suprisingly low, less than $700 if I were to get it (I'm 17).
